This “Delicate, Trembling Flower of Submission”© is a NYC born and raised writer, actress, BDSM Educator, Storyteller and an Award-Winning Executive Pervert.
Exploring kink since 1993, active in BDSM and the Leather Community since 1996, and presenting classes since 1998, Mollena speaks at Leather, BDSM and Kink events across the US, Europe and Canada on many Leather and BDSM focused topics. She also brings the knowledge on Kink, BDSM and Leather to such august institutions of higher learning as SF State and Cal State, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stamford, University of Chicago, and Brown University. She has modelled for the Folsom Street Fair poster, and worked with many well know leather and fetish photographers including Michele Serchuk.
She won the Ms San Francisco Leather title in 2009 and won the International Ms Leather title in 2010. She was interviewed for the oral history project conducted by the Leather Archives & Museum’s Women’s Leather History Project.
Mollena performs frequently in storytelling venues, winning an audience favorite award at Bawdy Storytelling in San Francisco. Other appearances include Audacia Ray’s Red Umbrella Diaries, Carol Queen’s Perverts Put Out, and Kevin Allison’s podcast Risk! Mollena’s short film, IMPACT, won the “Best Experimental Film Award at the 10th Anniversary of CineKink.
She is the author of the “Toybag Guide to Playing with Taboo” as well as the co-author with Lee Harrington of “Playing Well With Others.” Her work has been featured in anthologies including her essay “BDSM and Race Play” in “Best Sex Writing 2010” (editor Rachel Kramer Bussel) and “Kiss my Boots” in “The Lust Chronicles.” Her essay “Race Play” appears in “Spirit of Desire: Personal Explorations of Sacred Kink” and she has two chapter’s in Tristan Taormino’s “The Ultimate Guide to Kinky Sex.” She was also a featured columnist for SexIs Magazine, where she lets loose on just about anything.
