Playground Free Friday Night Fun

Tell Me Something Good

Following our free Friday night keynote, our opening party promises to be an extra special night as we’re pairing up with Tell Me Something Good, a free monthly sexy storytelling event that brings together people from all walks of life to share their true stories of sexual glory, gaffes and growth. To celebrate Playground’s inclusive and welcoming environment, the theme for the evening is wide open. Share your favourite sex stories for the chance to win sexy prizes!

Samantha Fraser and Sophie Delancey are your lovely co-hosts for your storytelling pleasure and we will have some great judges to make you laugh along the way!

Special Presentations at Playground 2014

This year we are trying something new at Playground. Recognizing that we, as organizers, have limited experience and exposure along with our own privilege, we’ve asked a few, prominent community members to help us with three very special presentations. The content you will see in these presentations is completely curated by these special guests. They are given the time to use as they see fit, whether they want to personally speak, moderate a panel of their choosing, or bring in other speakers and remain behind the scenes; the point is to offer Playground up as a platform for issues to be raised, to be respected, and to be heard.

This year we’ve invited:

  • Focusing on the sex-work community: Sonya Barnett, Madame of the Keyhole Sessions;
  • Focusing on how to be a good ally: Jeff Perera of the What Makes a Man conference and White Ribbon;
  • Focusing on trans specific issues: Sophia Banks, prominent trans activist.

Check out our schedule for more information on these presentations.
