In a world that values characteristics like making compromises, martyrdom, people-pleasing, self-sacrifice etc, it can be difficult to stay strong in our independent wants and desires. There is a great deal of stimga attached to leading a custom life that pushes on the social script. And yet, with all that said and done, there is a plethora of research to uphold the idea that a person who is in tune with their inner wants and desires and who feels safe to ask for them is an overall happier person.

Together, we’ll explore ideas to stay in touch with that inner desire, ways to find the courage to ask for what we want and to build a life that creates interdependence with good people that allows space to be a fully autonomous person with guilt or shame.
